Kamadhoo is a portrait of a small coral atoll in the Maldives. People came here for a residency. One of their shared practices was field recording. They walked the island, listened, sang into spaces to capture how each place responds.

These recordings became the film’s music, made entirely from the voices and sounds of those who were there. Cinematography followed. Andriesh Gandrabur, Debut 2 co-founder, joined on site to shape the sound into the final score.
